Giving Thanks for Our Lumen Christi Community
Message from the Principal
Colossians 3:16-17 reads “Let the message of Christ dwell among you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom through psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit, singing to God with gratitude in your hearts. And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.”
The Lumen Christi community lives its faith each and every day, and so our song of thanks is rich and deep. We are thankful for our many supporters. By spreading good news, engaging in prayer, or contributing much needed funds, our benefactors enrich all we do. We are thankful for our staff.
In the late hours of the evening, on Saturday at the volleyball game, in the morning before school for tutoring, our staff does whatever it takes to bring our students closer to their full potential in mind, body, and spirit. We are thankful for our parents, and their many gifts. Just this week, we had parents volunteering for hours on end to support our auction, while many, many parents joined us at conferences to give their support to our partnership.
Our parents choose us to walk alongside their students, and it is an incredible honor and blessing. We are thankful for our students. They make gift baskets for ill students, write notes of encouragement to students with disabilities, and pray for another in class, at home, and in our Chapel. They are the living breathing heart of Christ in our school.
With a loud, joyous song, a very blessed Thanksgiving to you and your family!
In the Light of Christ,
