 2019 – 2020 Current Grades 8- 11 Course Selection and Registration

On Monday, February 25 students currently in grades 8 -11 will receive their personalized 2019-2020 Course Selection Form.  Please review it carefully with your student.  Please note!  Attached to the Scheduling Form is an invitation!

Parents are invited to attend the Academic Advising/Priority Course Registration Workshop on Thursday, February 28, from 5:00 to 7:00 pm., in the Library.  Students are invited to accompany their parents.  This is a great opportunity for you to have one-on-one academic advising with faculty and select courses.  We hope you will come!

Very importantly – before you attend  — FACTS Enrollment is required and a prerequisite for Workshop attendance.

Students currently in grade 6 and 7 will receive Course Registration forms on Friday, March 15  — and parents will be invited to an Academic Advising/ Priority Course Registration Workshop scheduled for March 20 from 5 – 7 p.m., in the Library at that time.

From the Deans: Congratulations to Squad 4, who won today’s Squad Competition, Family Feud.  Students in squad 4 may dress down on Friday, March 1 for their celebration. Jeans, sweats, and track pants are allowed.  No sandals, bare shoulders, bare midriffs, leggings, or cleavage.

From Queen’s: Please consider joining the Women’s Guild for a movie screening on Sunday, March 10.  Information attached!

From Mrs. Kuhl:On March 5th, “Fat Tuesday,”before school (7:15- 7:50) the LC Interfaith Shelter Project will host a Panera breakfast with bagels, coffee, juice, hot chocolate, and all the condiments.

It will be in the Commons! Please consider supporting this fundraiser. Proceeds will go toward our twice monthly dinners at the Shelter.

From Mr. Havlicek: Seniors and Parents: Scholarships have been earned, and we want to display them in the graduation booklet! Please submit a scan of the information you have received from the colleges so it can be displayed. Contact Mr. H with any questions:

From Mrs. Kuhl: The Interfaith Shelter Project will be hosting a breakfast on Tuesday March 5th from 7:15- 7:55 in the LC Commons. Panera bagels, toppings, coffee, hot chocolate, and juice will be available! Please consider supporting this fundraiser.

From the Drama Department:  The auditions were held, the cast was chosen, the songs and dances are being practiced, and the lines are being learned.  Now all we need is an audience!  Mark your calendars for our spring musical:  OKLAHOMA!  The curtain will open on Friday and Saturday, March 8th & 9th at 7:30 p.m. or on Sunday, March 10th at 3 p.m.  Reserved seats are $20, and general admission seats are $5-$12.  Call 517-917-4302 for more information

From the Main Office:  Enrollment is now open for the 2019 – 2020 school year. ALL Families attending Jackson Catholic Schools must enroll online. Each family is required to pay a yearly Family Enrollment Fee 0f $55.

To ENROLL your family, visit. and look for the Quick Links, located at the top of the home page. Click on FACTS Enrollment and you will be connected to FACTS to complete the enrollment AND important forms for your student. You will also pay your enrollment fee here and choose your tuition payment preference.  To apply for Tuition Assistance – please complete the FACTS Enrollment and then to Quick Links and complete the Tuition Assistance Application.  For tuition assistance consideration, application must meet the deadline of March 1, 2019 for both school and Diocesan assistance.

Terrific Titans:

  • From Mrs. Fleming: Juniors completed their ACT testing this Wednesday with 100% attendance.  Great job juniors! ACT score reports are mailed 5-8 weeks after the test date.
  • From Mrs. LeatheadMany thanks to everyone who took part in the Valentine’s Day Dress Down.  We sent a check for $1200 for heart research to Mott’s Children’s Hospital.
