From Mrs. Fleming:

ACT Test – Wednesday February 20, 2018

All of the Juniors will be taking the ACT test on February 20th.  This is a very important part of their academic career, and we want to ensure a successful experience for all of our students.  Your cooperation will help us to achieve that goal.  Here are some guidelines:

Students will need their TI 83 or TI 84 calculators, and Number 2 pencils.

Cell phones, iWatches, iPads or other internet devices are prohibited. Leave them in your car- do not bring them into the testing room.

The Students should:

  • Get a good night’s sleep the night before.
  • Eat a good breakfast to start the day.
  • Be in uniform with student ID cards for the testing day.
  • Be in the Auxiliary Gym by 7:45
  • Park in the student lot, but enter through the “Connector” hallway doors between the Main Gym and the Aux gym.

The students will be released to go home from the Auxiliary Gym when all students have completed the test and all test materials are accounted for. This will be approximately 1:15 p.m.

From the Main Office: We have two special guest speakers coming in next week!  Fr. Chas and Fr. Tim both have separately arranged for two dynamic speakers to come to our school.  Because of the faith focus at these two events, we will have a regular schedule on Tuesday.  Mass will be offered during lunch time for any students who want to attend (those students will eat lunch in the cafeteria during their seminar time).

From Mr. Havlicek: Seniors and Parents: Scholarships have been earned, and we want to display them in the graduation booklet! Please submit a scan of the information you have received from the colleges so it can be displayed. Contact Mr. H with any questions:

From Mrs. Kuhl: The Interfaith Shelter Project will be hosting a breakfast on Tuesday March 5th from 7:15- 7:55 in the LC Commons. Panera bagels, toppings, coffee, hot chocolate, and juice will be available! Please consider supporting this fundraiser.

From the Drama Department:  The auditions were held, the cast was chosen, the songs and dances are being practiced, and the lines are being learned.  Now all we need is an audience!  Mark your calendars for our spring musical:  OKLAHOMA!  The curtain will open on Friday and Saturday, March 8th & 9th at 7:30 p.m. or on Sunday, March 10th at 3 p.m.  Reserved seats are $20, and general admission seats are $5-$12.  Call 517-917-4302 for more information

From the Junior Class:  It won’t be long until it is that very special night at Lumen Christi — the 2019 Jr/Sr Prom.  Any junior class parent that would like to help on the prom is invited to attend a meeting in the Library on Thursday, February 21st at 7:00 p.m.  The student committee has laid a great foundation and now we need your help in getting our plans put in motion so that we are ready for May 3rd.
