This Week at LC 11.5.2018
From Leadership: We invite you to watch this great, short (7 minute) video about All Saints’ Day. Wherever you are in your faith, there’s no way too small to start! All Saints Day Pep Talk
From Mr. Havlicek: All: Once again, Lumen Christi will be partnering with Sylvan Learning to provide all students with the opportunity to get a practice test in for the ACT standardized test coming up this spring. The workshop will be held January 12th and is open to all students grades 7-11. Students in grade 12 that are in need of a repeat test can certainly join if necessary. Pre-registration is certainly encouraged. The workshop is a great way to receive additional practice for each of the students, and even create a level of comfort with the timing and material that will be on an actual test. Please consider attending and helping your student to get some beneficial guidance to help with future college planning.
From Fr. Brian: For seniors: A big thank you from Fr. Brian and Mrs. Glomski to those seniors who have already turned in applications for Kairos. And a last reminder from us that seniors must turn in any remaining applications for Kairos by Monday to guarantee a spot on the retreat.

From French Club: The French Club offers “Le Petit-Déjeuner Français” – French Breakfast – on Wednesday Nov. 7 in the Commons starting at 7:00 AM. This is a fund-raiser for the club. Enjoy croissants, jam, hot chocolate, juice and more in a real FRENCH BREAKFAST.
From Advancement: Friday, November 9th is our annual dress down day to support our Dinner & Auction! Each student will have the opportunity to dress down for a donation of at least $3.00. This is a great way to support our annual dinner and auction if you haven’t found just the right thing to donate. The funds collected from this dress down day will be used to create wonderful baskets for silent auction!
This day is designed to coincide with our monthly Squad Competition, which will be a dodgeball tournament. Because of that, it is a spirit dress down day. Students may wear sweats, track pants, jeans, khakis, or corduroys; no sleeveless or low-cut tops; at least one part of what the student is wearing (shirt, jacket, or pants) must be Lumen Christi.
We are still seeking donations from our Amazon Wish List for Auction. It is so easy to order, just click on the link, order and it will be delivered to the Advancement Office! Visit Amazon here: http://a.co/dit2BaX
We are in need of volunteers for the Auction! Especially we are looking for 2 technology specialists who will assist the mobile bidding team the night of the auction. Training will be provided. If you are interested in a fun and eventful evening, sign up here!

All students 7-12 who earn Honor Roll are invited to “dress up” that day and students in grades 9-12 will also receive an Honor Roll breakfast. Please check your mailed report card for your invitation!
From Sarah Wilhelm, the Athletic Trainer: The winter sports season will quickly be upon us.
