Graduates Persevere to “Do Extra” For Christ and Their Future

Dear Families,

On Thursday, May 23, we graduated the 76 members of the class of 2019.  Through the year, they have impressed us with their faith, their character, their leadership, and their friendship.  Their spirit is captured in these words, shared by Valedictorian Brendan Doane in his farewell address:

“The perseverance we are taught at Lumen Christi is illustrated through our class’ success in academics, sports, and extracurricular activities. The rigor of our class work has taught us what it takes to be champions. Something that I have learned from Mr. Williams is that champions always do extra. Everyday we need to strive to do the extra if we want to be champions in our daily lives. Do extra in connecting with new people. Do extra in your studies. Do extra in your workplace. Do extra in protecting our country. Do extra in praising God, loving God, and spreading God’s word. It’s not going to be easy, but we can not be complacent. We need to strive to be our best every day and to do the extra that will make us stand out from those around us. The bar is set high for us; however, I know we are up for the challenge.”

We will miss them dearly.

In the Light of Christ,

Mrs. Kristovic
