Celebrating Hope, Peace, Joy, and Love this Advent

Dear Families,

Today, our 9th-12th graders celebrated the season of Advent in their monthly Friday All School Faith event.

Led by a team of seniors, who organized, planned, and wrote every element of the service, students reflected on the meaning of the Advent candles: hope, peace, joy, and love.

The greatest gift we can give this holiday season is building hope, peace, joy, and love in those around us.  In small ways, we can show each person we encounter the face of Christ. Through this, we truly celebrate Christmas by bringing Christ in to someone’s world, through our actions.

In the words of our seniors: We celebrate because He makes this the most wonderful time of the year.  Because of His birth, we are redeemed (Galatians 4:4-6).  Because of His birth, we can be called Children of God (John 1:12).  Because of His birth, there is hope for the world (1 Peter 1:3).

Merry Christmas!

In the Light of Christ,

Mrs. Kristovic
