Academic Advising Night Provides One on One Support
This Thursday, February 28, is our academic advising night for rising grades 9-12 (current grades 8-11) from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. in the library.
At this important night, you and your student will have the chance to meet one on one with an Instructional Leader to plan for your student’s academic success in 2019-2020 and beyond. During your one on one, you will have the opportunity to discuss possible future majors, careers, and college choices; current and new academic offerings; our GPA scale and impact on college admissions and schedule choices; and the best possible individual outcomes for your student.
For the first time, we will also be hosting some of our post-secondary partners at this event. Spring Arbor University and Baker College will be sponsoring tables to speak to you and your student about dual enrollment opportunities and what each of their great institutions have to offer!
In addition to the one on one advising, we will also have a “speedy checkout” lane for those families who are sure of their student’s schedule, but would like to take advantage of the priority scheduling offered for students who attend this night.
To be prepared for the night, please complete your FACTs enrollment in advance. Enrollment is required to participate in the priority registration night. Enrollment can be completed at this link: https://online.factsmgt.com/signin/3CMHM
Planning for yourstudent’s success deserves one on one attention — we hope to see you next Thursday!
